Eden Rock - St Barths
Accommodation · Saint-Barthélemy, Saint Barthelemy
Perched on a rocky promontory jutting into St Jean Bay, Eden Rock began in the 1950s as aviator Rémy de Haenen's home and the island's first hotel, drawing guests such as Greta Garbo and Howard Hughes. Rebuilt after Hurricane Irma and now run by the Oetker Collection, it remains the island's most recognisable landmark hotel, ringed by beach and turquoise water on both sides. Even non-guests know its red-roofed silhouette as the emblem of St Jean.
