Aruba's former refinery town has reinvented itself as the street-art capital of the Caribbean, with building-sized murals by local and international artists filling its main streets. The open-air gallery grew out of the annual Aruba Art Fair and depicts the island's history, culture and wildlife in vivid colour. Wandering the compact centre takes an hour or two and pairs naturally with a stop at the town's famous bars and the nearby Museum of Industry.
