Alto Vista Chapel
Things to do · Noord, Aruba
A small, bright-yellow Catholic chapel on a quiet hilltop overlooking Aruba's north coast, on the site of the island's first church built in 1750 by a Venezuelan missionary and local converts. The current chapel dates from 1952 and remains a working place of worship, reached by a winding road lined with white crosses marking the stations of a pilgrimage route. The ocean views and stillness make it a peaceful stop on any island tour.
