Great Bird Island
Parks & Nature · Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda
This 20-acre islet off Antigua's northeast coast is a tiny sanctuary of powdery beaches, clear snorkelling water and nesting seabirds, including red-billed tropicbirds. It is the last wild home of the Antiguan racer, one of the world's rarest snakes, which is harmless and rarely seen. A short hill trail rewards visitors with sweeping views over the North Sound islands, and most people arrive on day trips by catamaran or kayak.
