Darkwood is a quiet ribbon of white sand on Antigua's southwest coast, backed by green hills and facing the calm Caribbean side of the island. It is a favourite roadside stop for swimming and snorkelling, with a simple beach bar and restaurant serving local dishes. On clear days you can see the volcanic silhouette of Montserrat across the water.
